Naked Rugby Players calendar promotes body positivity

The beefy studs, better known as The Naked Rugby Players, have created two calendars for 2021.

The Naked Rugby Players - Unseen Bits includes never seen before images, and the related tackle, is full of sexy, naked solo men of various shapes and sizes.

"It sadly turned out to be impossible to shoot 6 rugby teams during 2020 as the pandemic raged through our communities and everyone kept at social distances," explained photographer Monty McKinnen. "Despite this, we've rummaged through the thousands of images from our past shoots to bring fans of the calendar never before seen pictures, from 12 teams across the UK."

The Naked Rugby Players Calendar 2021 - Unseen Bits has also partnered with the Balls To Cancer, providing a monthly reminder to check yourseld for any unusual signs down there.

tackle, on the other hand, was created over a period of 2 months while lockdown was relaxed; it includes 12 men, representing various ages and backgrounds from across the UK.

“It was really important for us to keep pushing the message that every body is important, valid and beautiful and we want celebrate normal bodies in media," photographer and Art Director, Jake Hook said. "While representation of 'ordinary' bodies is improving in the media, we are still bombarded with unrealistic ideals of what our bodies should look like, and it’s just not good for our mental health, self esteem or well-being. There’s still a lot to do to ensure that we can all feel comfortable in our own skin. We think we’ve found some incredible guys, brave enough to strip off for us to prove, no matter your age, your size or your skin tone, your body is wonderful”.

A donation from each sale of both calendars will go to Balls To Cancer and Rugby Calendars ordered through the LGBT+ clubs that took part will raise money for that club.
